Designer Pallavi Foley, who designed the Miss India crowns in 2006 and
2007, has come up with a unique way to accessorise a garment -- she has
created 3D ornaments.
The designer feels 3D is in vogue and one can explore it many different ways.
"Jewellery
designers today can pretty much look at anything for inspiration and
they can craft truly unique products, since the buyers are ready for
artistic, sculptural jewels, emerging from fresh inspirations.
"I
also tried to do the same and made few 3D inspired designs, which are
not only unique but they can also be considered a resurgence of the
craft world," Foley told IANS.
The designer has used a lot of
Swarovski crystals, stones on hasli neckpieces, earrings and bracelets.
The collection starts from Rs.3,000 and goes up to a few lakh rupees.
"Design
today is all about fashion, attitude and great craftsmanship so keeping
this theory in mind, I have used a lot of small detailing and curves to
add elegance and glamour to the pieces," she said.
"Today most
of the people want to add uniqueness and creativity to their personality
and if we see, there are hardly any designers who are using 3D
technique, so I am confident that my look will definitely appeal to the
masses," she added.
The designer is also looking forward to design the crown for future and she in talks with the one of the sponsors for the same.
"I
was the part of Miss India while I was working with Tanishq. I will
continue the association as I am looking forward to design crowns and I
would be approaching them. I actually enjoy designing crown. The
experience was good and impels me to continue the association," she
said.
