Men who hammered out deal between Ambani brothers

The telecom infrastructure-sharing deal involving the two billionaire Ambani brothers - Mukesh and Anil - has been in the works since the beginning of the year. After discussing it across the table, they instructed their key aides to formalize the deal. While Manoj Modi represented elder brother Mukesh, Anil's interests were championed by Amitabh Jhunjhunwala and Satish Seth. Two Indian firms to build Ethiopian roads

Two Indian companies have been awarded contracts worth over 2 billion Br (over $100 million) to build roads in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA) has signed the contracts with the Indian firms. JMC Projects Indian Limited Company, which participated in Ethiopia's road construction for the first time, was awarded a 109 km project for 1.1 billion Br earlier this month.

Egypt should be India's gateway to Africa'

India should look at Egypt as its gateway to Africa, Osama Saleh, Egypt's Minister of Investment, said in New Delhi. In an interview with IANS on the sidelines of the first India-Egypt Economic Forum on Wednesday, Saleh said : " We are proposing that India consider Egypt as the gateway to the African continent for deepening and increasing the benefits of an old relationship."

Software export to Latin America set to double

India's software and services export to Latin American countries is likely to double to $1.13 billion in the next two years, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) said here Thursday.
